Cookies on Mobile: Carrier iQ, Apple responds


In the aftermath of the case Carrier iQ makes loud noise, the main actor was keen to respond. The company behind this program capable of analyzing most of the actions of users of mobile (Nokia, Android, BlackBerry, iOS) held to deny categorically "record, transcribe and transmit any kind of personal information." According to Carrier iQ, their program would be used only for telephone operators to diagnose potential network problems.

Manufacturers have lined up to distance themselves vis-à-vis the process (HTC, Google, RIM, Microsoft and others), which is the latest non-Apple: "We have stopped using Carrier IQ with iOS 5 in most of our products and we will remove it completely in a future update.
