Samsung unveils Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor

As expected, Samsung has unveiled its Exynos 5 Octa 5420. More than just a rise in frequency, it makes more changes in it. A new ARM Mali GPU which is a more efficient memory controller is loaded. Samsung has just announced its second Exynos 5 Octa, based again on the ARM architecture big. It latter allows for reminder to have in a single chip with two quad-core CPUs that are used depending on the needs: Cortex A7 one side to the low power consumption and a much more powerful Cortex A15. The current Exynos 5 Octa 5410, found in some versions of the Galaxy S4, is clocked at 1.2 GHz for the CPU Cortex-A7 Cortex-A15 while running up to 1.8 GHz. For the new version, the 5420, only the first 100 MHz wins. The Korean giant opportunity to change the dual channel memory controller which now supports the LPDDR3 @ 933 MHz, a theoretical bandwidth of 14.9 Gb/s. Another change which is not only limited with its GPU. In fact, Samsung comes with the ARM Mali T628, while the 5410 has a PowerVR SGX544MP3 solution. Anyway, this GPU is advertised as 10x more powerful in comparison with ARM Mali 400MP found on Exynos 4212 or 4412, but more than 2x the PowerVR chip used on the Exynos 5 Octa 5410. However, Samsung has, apparently, removed a pair of processing unit shaders compared to the reference design for a total of six instead of eight. It will be interesting to see what gives the final outcome. Supported the definition is identical to the previous generation, or 2560 x 1600 pixels. Added by the manufacturer against a MIC (Multiple Image Compression), supposed to offload some tasks normally intended for the GPU. Regarding the wireless display, it is supported up to a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Samsung says it demonstrates the performance of the beast at SIGGRAPH being held in Anaheim, while mass production will start from next month. There remains a question. Samsung; will it use this Exynos 5 Octa 5420 in his Note 3 should be announced at the upcoming IFA in Berlin in early September, and the brand will it do that again the Galaxy S4 and its many variants performance very different? With volume production so late, it's a safe bet that this should be the case again. Unless of course the manufacturer decided to rely on Qualcomm for their next Smartphone, it would be really amazing to have.

All about the new Google tablet New Nexus 7

Google invited media on 24 July to a press breakfast with Android chief Sundar Pichai and presented the new version of the tablet "Nexus 7" a the first device with Android 4.3. The new Nexus 7, as the name suggests, it is going to have a seven-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and 323 ppi (pixels per inch). The previous version had "only" 1280x800 pixels, which corresponds to 216 ppi. The hardware of the new Nexus comes the way from Asus. A Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (quad core) at 1.5 GHz from Qualcomm and two gigabytes (GB) of memory are installed in new Nexus 7. The new Nexus 7 is going to be the first device with Android 4.3. The case of the new Nexus is two millimeters thinner 50 grams lighter and equipped with a thinner edge than its predecessor. It can therefore easier to hold with one hand. The back again has a soft-touch finish, which went down well with the users as that of the old nexus, according to Google. For the crystal clear sound, Google has worked with the Fraunhofer Institute; the ultimate result is a virtual surround sound that comes at the request through headphones or the built-in speaker. Of the new Nexus 7 battery lasts up to 10 hours.

Google offered its new tablet PC two cameras; a rear five-megapixel resolution and a front-video cam with 1.2 megapixels. For fast data transport WLAN and Bluetooth are available - LTE there is unfortunately only in the United States. You can get the Nexus 7 with 16 or 32 GB of data storage and this option is available to your individual needs. A slot is available for an external memory card as well. Google fixed the price as 239 dollars for the 16 GB version and 269 dollars for the 32 GB model. The device comes in a few weeks in the market.

Google Chromecast: a key to Web Video on Your TV

Google introduced yesterday Chromecast, wireless key that plugs into the HDMI port of the TV and can relay the stream streaming broadcast from tablets, Smartphones, PC or Mac. It is marketed in the U.S. for 35 dollars now. Google organized Thursday evening at their local California office, a presentation on news around Android, the Nexus 7 etc. But the real surprise came from a small accessory, the Chromecast. It is a key that connects to the HDMI jack of a TV. It connects to home WiFi network and allows you to stream content streaming from a tablet, Smartphone, PC or Mac via the Chrome browser. Chromecast is already supported by the applications YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, as well as movies and music purchased on Google Play. The key uses a modified version of Google Chrome OS and offers developers a preview release an SDK (Google Cast) to enable them to compatible applications and websites. Chromecast works with Android Smartphones, iPhone, Android tablets and the iPad. Windows Phone and BlackBerry are not excluded. The accessory is already marketed in the United States for U.S. $ 35. Google has not specified his plans for an international launch.

Is there any Google algorithm New updates?

According discussions on the Webmaster World forum, Google could still try to make an update of its algorithm. It may be the extension of what Matt Cutts announced two weeks ago. Some website publishers have seen fluctuations in their positions last night and this morning. It is rather the American side, if you see something on your site in other countries too; then leaves a little comment below. In recent months, more and more publishers and websites complain vehemently Google’s method: updates of filters that will favor large companies and brands at the expense of smaller SMEs and blogs. This is probably the reality of 2013: it is clearly not in 2008 or 2010. To stand out, you must either be unique, or have a special budget. I now know what kind of comment every day on sites SEO U.S.: "The best thing to do is rely on search engines. Depend on Google; this is clearly suicide for any type of small business ".

Adobe Premiere Pro CC v7.0.1

A month after its release, Adobe has updated Premiere Pro CC with version 7.0.1. In addition to bug fixes, the main novelty of this version 7.0.1 is to facilitate collaboration by allowing users to Premiere Pro and Prelude. Adobe Anywhere tool is to organize and streamline the capture and adding videos with a subscription of 24 60 € / month. To work together by exchanging data via Adobe Anywhere for video service. Later, at the end of the year, After Effects users should also be able to use this service. Adobe's video applications can be used by the project, with only one user at a time. But Now Adobe Anywhere allows multiple users to share the same resources like file, audio and video files, and edited sequences, metadata files to clarify the information and make quick searches placed in a database. The data are not placed locally in the computer hard drives of the creative team working on the video project: they are stored in a server that can be found in by the company which may in another city or another continent.

The platform allows Adobe to share access to files and avoid conflicts when two users want to make changes had the same time on the same file and keep a history of changes. Adobe Anywhere platform is based on the Hub Anywhere Collaboration and the nodes using the Streaming Mercury Engine. This is supposed to allow the use of video files via internet in native resolution without loss of frames. It is no longer necessary to use low-resolution proxy. And we add the nodes, the more you can increase the workload and the number of users working together on a project. Mercury streaming algorithms should allow the transmission of real-time video streaming in, but it will require a decent connection to function properly. Specifically, Adobe Anywhere allows you to work on content placed on both local servers located at the other end of the planet with a computer that does not need to be a top model. When editing in Premiere Pro, the operations performed on movies such as positions, durations, blending mode etc are not calculated and performed locally in the user's computer.

Instead, Adobe Anywhere will do perform all editing operations and reports directly from the remote server project. Premiere Pro does therefore need to send the actions that the user has done on movies streamed he received from the server, and display the result of assembly operations and made it comes from provided in the form of a streamed video. In other words, the editing software Premiere Pro 7.0.1 CC is confident to perform all tasks requiring high working power to the server, a user can simply turn on a MacBook Air as simple as a machine. For cons, the server side as data storage, it will take a minimum of professional equipment that can be a hindrance for very small structures. Bandwidth usage and servers have to predict the risk of a bottleneck and it will take a few months to see if the choices of technology Adobe are effective. One may well ask whether the lack of After Effects at the moment in Adobe Anywhere solution is not much difficult to manage due to the time calculations made which are much more numerous and complex than After Effects Premiere Pro, as soon as a project has a large number of layers and effects in power hungry as those requested by plug-ins, for example, Trapcode Particular and 3D Element. Adobe does not specify how Adobe Anywhere manages a group of users which one would make from time to time of installation work offline on a project: a weekend spent in the countryside, without an internet connection, for example. When the user reconnects to the Adobe platform Anywhere with a different version of the timeline compared to that found on the server, which has been changed in the meantime by other users, what will happen? If there are conflicts between two versions of a project, because it has been modified off line, what happens? What "cut" will be a priority? Adobe will require there to be online constantly to be able to use Premiere Pro with Anywhere? Similarly, the complete dependence on remote servers, and the risks of illegal intrusions could also be considered as an Achilles heel for large structures that reliability and safety are the essential bases. A remote server accessible online makes the connection reliability and redundancy solutions backups backup server that houses the media and the Adobe Anywhere platform even more essential.

In a user working on a video project "old", each on his computer, in case of problems with one of them, only the data of the latter group are lost. But with Adobe collaborative solution, if the server and the Adobe platform Anywhere who are victims of an incident, all users in the group do not they may find themselves deprived of the project and media? It remains to be seen how promising the Adobe Anywhere platform keep its promises. If it does, this way of working much more collaborative would revolutionize the way many production companies and studios work. As Adobe said it would give less importance to the geographical proximity of members of the video project and the power of their computers and the artistic qualities of the team members, even if they live at the other end world.
