How Mobile Optimization Is Good for Businesses

In a smartphone boom led by Apple and the popularity of its apps, the number of users accessing mobile Internet has increased. A 2012 global smartphone user study shows how smartphone Internet usage is catching up with PC/laptop usage in point differences of as high as 12 percentage points to as low as 0, (where in Japan, Internet is accessed in equal measure via smartphone and PC). According to Morgan Stanley and Gartner, mobile device browsing should exceed wired web traffic by 2013.

Mobile browsing boom

Since this gain in momentum, sites optimized for mobile devices have higher click-through rates. It is, as well, forecasted that about 50% of Internet usage will be through mobile as more and more people tend to use their smartphones for looking things up online.

Mobile usage for obtaining local information

Mobile local usage has likewise increased and sites dedicated to group-buying deals such as Groupon and local online stores and sellers have begun to use it as a new platform. Users are also utilizing this for access to local news and traffic information, as well as data on sales, bazaars, events, launches, etc.

Mobile commerce on the web marketplace

It is no news that as of last year, Multiply has fully shifted from being a social media and blogging site into a full-on marketplace. In a 2012 study, it has been reported that at least half of mobile shoppers' monthly purchases are already made through mobile.

Mobile marketing

Aside from apps and sites like Amazon and eBay dedicated solely for buying and selling, social media sites like Instagram and Facebook are now being increasingly used as an online selling platform.
Instagram, being image-centered, is used as an effective social media catalog of products that then link to a business owner's site, while Facebook is used more for establishing relationships to customers in order to keep track of products and/or services.

Mobile trading

The strength of mobile commerce is being developed wildly as Deutsche Bank plans to roll out a social media and mobile platform. TradoLogic, on the other hand, has made trading accessible through smartphones and tablets.
Placing mobile call-to-actions to a mobile website also helps as more and more users equipped with wireless phone add-ons, such as a spy earpiece connected via Bluetooth to a mobile smartphone, can engage in hands-free trading and brokering while multitasking such as driving to work, working out, or on their desktops at work.

Mobile optimization for business promotion strategies

With all this convincing data, as a business owner, freelancer or marketer, it is a good decision to go where the traffic goes, especially right now, while mobile SEO is not yet as saturated. By securing a good wireless Internet connection through a mobile plan and backing it up with a cellphone booster so signal is consistently clear, viewing, testing and utilizing applications, ads, websites or blogs through smartphones will be a breeze.

Conclusion

A mobile device is one of the most personal and closest connections that can be established with any user. As more and more institutions are moving towards mobile optimization, it is safe to assume that business owners, online traders and other independent workers looking for online work who have this mobile-to-mobile relationship with a customer, client or audience have effectively enhanced their online presence.

Google now focus on the game for Android?

Two few weeks ago, Google recruited Noah Falstein as Head of Designer of the Games. According to our sources he is the Chief Game Designer at Android Play Studio. This implies Google will launch its own developed video games via Android with its own name. Noah Falstein is one of the senior experts in the world of video games since he started his career in the 80s and has participated in numerous titles, including LucasArts or Dreamworks. The choice of Google to recruit such a senior indicates that the Web giant certainly has ambitions in the field. But behind this recruitment, we can also think that Google will launch the video game under his own brand of games that we find in the Google Play Store. This is not new with Google, since Google has already made a prank in the field with Ingress example.

As a reminder, this title allows you to take full advantage of augmented reality. Only with the arrival of Glass, this application may also be important, and it is not excluded that other players can quickly take advantage of the technology, since Google has already released the necessary API to take advantage. Have its own development studio could also show the way to its planning and be an example or know-how. But it is also possible that Google may modify the Play Store as we know it to allow more interaction between players. It might as well set up a system of rewards and trophy, as Amazon does through its GameCircle for its Kindle Fire and Microsoft with the Xbox to name but two examples there. We can now follow the progress of other players on many titles. But Google could turn to do any big thing else. So far we have the right to tablets or Smart phones with Google's mobile operating system, it could also be a question of portable game console, based obviously on the Play Store. Indeed, various manufacturers have already shown some signs of interest like Archos with its GamePad or NVIDIA and Shield project. Google may have to develop its own solution. This would do this again in part for Android support for external controllers to simplify the work of new third-party developers.

Google Apps called Keep!

Google has just announced that it began to expand its "Packaged apps" that unveils a new service for its note-taking called “Keep”. It evolves finally ensuring an offline operation in a compact and dedicated window. A few weeks ago, Google launched this service Keep. It was so pretty basic, but had the advantage of working on different platforms synchronously. We then talked about the lack of consistency of the company which offered a less comprehensive than others he had already published, especially in the field of off-line operation and sharing notes with third-party product. If the latter does not seem to be corrected, this is the case for the off-line mode. Indeed, Keep now entitled to its Chrome application is a "Packaged app" of not less than 7 MB. This is not yet referenced in the Web Store, unless you use the Chrome developer branch as we explained in the previous news. You can still find and download from the net. The notes are now displayed in a special window, which becomes the default operating Keep once the application is installed. A significant focus even if we would probably like to create a window rating for segment management for example.
