5 Reasons Why Moto G5 is Worth the Wait

Moto g
Since the time Motorola has fallen in the hand of Chinese smartphone giant Lenovo Motorola is opting for competitive pricing, more incredible specs but at the same time keeping up with its core design and tradition. Despite of being thrown into among some of the more popular and high performing brands like Sony, HTC and Samsung but Motorola has come unscathed as one of the most trusted brand in the world.

Motorola G4 was a mid-ranger which kick right punches last year and remained competitive in the onslaught of multiple offering from varied brand at the same price points. Motorola has set high hopes with its next generation of the Moto G5 which will help in gaining commendable traction in the next few months before market starts saturating with similar offerings. Motorola will be launching this smartphone at the MWC in Barcelona on 26th February. Here are five key points which showcases that waiting for G5 will be the eight choice for the interested buyers.

Moto G5 high performing hardware

Moto G5 will feature Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and this will help Moto in giving direct competition to the Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 4. Moto G5 will come with 2GB RAM but no confirmation has been made about 3GB and 4GB variant so far.

Moto G5 bright and lively display for consumers

Motorola has opted for Samsung successful and vibrant AMOLED panels for this particular smartphone. The last Moto G4 Plus came with the usual IPS panel but we are likely to get AMOLED screen for Moto G5 Plus. Quite incidentally a number of OEMs are opting for Samsung OLED screens instead of usual LCD or IPS panels due to ability to bring a captivating smartphone display experience for the end users. Lenovo went with Super AMOLED display for its mid end P2 smartphone so it is being speculated that Motorola will also opt for the same in G5 Plus. It might also happen that Motorola simply goes with the IPS panel in order to remain competitive by keeping the price down.

Metal unibody design is here to stay in Moto G5

Motorola is opting for all metal finish for the G5 line up. This is a great boost for the its flagship smartphone which till last year shipped with the plastic design but new metal deign brings a premium feel and elegance to the smartphone.

Turbo charge will be there in Moto G5

On battery side Motorola will be bringing a 2800 mAh and 3000 mAh on Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus respectively. Both of these smartphone will come with Turbo Charging support which happens to be Lenovo’s home grown fast charging technology allowing users to charge their device within a short time. The best thing about Mto G5 range is that Lenovo is willing to ship these devices with a bundled Turbo charger.
Camera upgrade is worth talking about

Moto G5 will come with a 12/13 MP rapid focus camera at the rear with Sony IMX362 sensor and complimented with f/1.2 aperture and PDAF while a 5 MP camera will be set for selfies.

Motorola’s Newest Phone Moto Z Force Is Rugged and Super Thin

Moto Z

Motorola’s Flagship Handset –Moto Z/Moto Z Force

Struggling smartphone maker Motorola will be releasing two flagship handsets, the Moto Z together with the luxurious Moto Z Force. The two designs portrays the parent company of Moto, Lenovo embracing the modular smartphone trend.Ashton Kutcher, Lenovo product engineer, while pacing the stage at a press event in San Francisco, had called the Moto Z` a redesign of the phone from the ground up’ associating it to ground-breaking Motorola handsets such as the StarTac and Razr.

The handsets did not look as innovative as those market-upending devices. The latest Moto Z is made from military aircraft-grade aluminium and stainless less and is durable yet razor thin. It provides high-end specs, 5.5-inch Quad HD display, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of storage inside together with lightning fast charging. It also has a 13-megapixel camera towards the back as well as a 5-migapixel sensor in front and is simple 5.2mm thick. One can also get more space for pictures, videos and apps by adding a microSD card up to 2 TB. After the first Droid Razr, this is the next phone in that line.

Has ShatterShield Technology

The front facing 5MP camera comprises of a wide-angle lens which seems great in accommodating friends in an image and with an additional flash on the front, the image looks it’s best even in insufficient light. The Z Force is said to have the ShatterShield technology of Motorola which means that even if the phone is dropped on a marble floor or thrown across, it does not seem to break.

The Z Force tends to represent all the best Droid ideas, unbreakable screen, super-thin body as well as the customization of the Moto X. The Moto Moda seems to be the real selling point and on attaching an accessory the 16-pin port towards the back of the phone, the Z tends to become something novel.

A projector known as InstaShare tends to make the phone large though adds a big battery and kickstand, turning the phone into a wall-sized screen. A speaker has mentioned that it is another built with JBL. It is essential to note that Google’s modular smartphone initiative, Project Ara, had begun as a Motorola project. The spirit has not left even if Ara did.

However, the Moto Z phones does not seem to be quite modular the way Project Ara tends to be where Ara phones enables you to swap screens, cameras as well as batteries. The approach of Motorola is somewhat like what LG did with its latest G5, wherein one tends to plug extra modules in an already complete phone.

Moreover, Motorola tends to have an easier switching mechanism and Moto Mods seems to be a better name for the modules than the LG’s `Friends’.The Moto Z will be arriving this summer for Verizon customers, while the others would be getting it later in the year. Motorola has been working with the developers in building mods and envisages everything from huge battery to a laptop dock to a virtual keyboard. The arena is the same as the other modular phone.

Leaks point to two 2016 Moto X phones with modular add ons

Moto X

Leaks reveal that the upcoming Moto X series could up the ante for competitors

Motorola faced a terrible phase back in 2012 when Android and iPhone won penchant in the market, and Moto failed to compete against the leading manufacturers. However, this international company faced a turning point when Google oversaw the launch of new and improved Moto X series. With Motorola now acquired by Lenovo there are a host of features in the Moto X that is liable to undergo a series of drastic changes. One of the top trends of 2016 is modular phones which is something to be looked forward to with regard to Moto X now.

Some major tweaks are in the offing:

One of the major revelations is changes to the way looks are likely to undergo tweaks in the Moto X range. One of the major leaks the Moto X range will undergo some serous changes in terms of its look. The flat metal back panel was not much preferred by the Motorola fanatics, and the absence of the Moto dimple made it look even shoddier. Rather, people had expected the Moto X with a panel of curved plastic, leather or wood like finish and hence there has been a re though on this aspect. The dimple was preferred primarily because it allowed a decent finger hold and allowed for a hand held stability.

There was also a leak about the bottom rear panel having connected modular system called amps. Similar accessory attachments have been seen on the LG G5; however the Moto X is slated to be much superior in this respect. This accessory attachment allows one to change from a camera grip to a hi-fi audio module. All in all compared to the G5 the Moto X changes a much more user friendly.

Major enhancements could give competitors a run:

Reliable sources have disclosed the news that there will be some new and enhanced attachments in the Moto X series. These include a pico projector, extraordinary camera module, optical zooming, and a simple and trendy cover available with the handset itself, stereo speakers, handy battery pack and wide angle camera lens with sturdy case. Leaks have also confirmed that to make it even more user friendly, the accessories can be snapped onto device with any rebooting. The Amps can be fixed onto the rear of the mobile device, and they would be held in place with the help of magnets.

Motorola never fails to surprise its fans, and thus will be launching two different handsets this year will the advanced add-ons. The Moto X Vertex will have Snapdragon 625, 1080p AMOLED, 5.5 inch screen, along with a 3GB Ram. The Moto X Vertex thin will have the flagship 1440p AMOLED, 5.5 inch, a startling 4 GB Ram, and Snapdragon 820. The Vertex thin is super slim, 5.5 mm and thus will have a 2600 mAh battery, however the Vertex will have 3500 mAh and is thicker, 7mm. the latest feature incorporated in both the handsets will be the finger print sensor that will be present on the bottom front of the devices. Even though Vertex comes will 2600 mAh, users can purchase battery Amps for convenience.

Moto X Voice Commands

Moto X
Once your Moto X is trained to recognize your voice, you can use several different voice commands and it does not need you to touch your phone. Simply say the command together in one phrase and Touchless Control will process the command and does the relevant thing.

To enable Touchless control, open the notification panel by swiping down from the top of your Moto X screen, and select the option Touchless Control. You will then enter the Touchless Control setup and then train the Touchless control with your voice. First and the most important command you got to keep in mind is “ok google, help me” - say this to open a set of commands you can say to the phone.

First, you need to train your phone in a quiet place and then the phone will recognize you when you speak either in a quiet place or in a noisy place. This is achieved through a software called crystal talk. Some of the commands are
  • Call “contact” - to make a phone call to a person, replace the contact in the command with the name of the person.
  • Navigate to “location” - to get directions to the location name given in the command.
  • Text “contact” - to send a message to a person, replace the contact in the command with the name of the person.
  • Remember “meeting tomorrow at 2″ - to set reminders
  • Schedule “an appointment on the 21st of this month at 3 p.m.” - Schedule appointments
  • Play “song” - Play music & movies
  • Set “alarm for 6 in the morning” - Set alarms
  • Open “calendar app” - Opens google calendars application
  • Post to Google + “blah blah…” - Post Google+ update
  • Goodnight - Turns on the Sleeping do-not-disturb mode in Moto Assist
  • Take a selfie - This will turn on the front-facing camera and count down from three.
  • Talk to me - Will read incoming calls and texts for half an hour.
  • Take a photo - Starts the rear camera.
You can ask questions like “what is the temperature today?”, “where is googleplex?”. This machine has the answer to most of your questions.

The “What’s up?” command reads out aloud the notifications from the notification bar. After reading the items are marked read. If the “what’s up?” command did not work as expected, try saying “Read Notifications” command.

If you are worried that your notifications are being read aloud when you are out hanging with others, you can reduce the detail of reading the notification by activating the Notification details and turning off the setting. The Moto X’s Touchless Control can be useful when your hands are busy or when you want to remember something important and you are in a situation of need of information.

Many examples are there when the Touchless control will be useful. Some of them are while driving a car, when you want to find your phone, to set reminders when your hands are busy with some other work or when you are in a position to not to be able to use your hands to touch the phone and mostly will be useful for blind people.

Moto X+1 Front Panel Design Trickled

Moto X+1
With Motorola (which is now powered by Google) making a comeback in the mobile market with its 3 phone model Moto E, Moto G and Moto X, time has now come for a phone with improved ultimate features that will now raise the Motorola flagships as high as possible. And that phone as per Motorola’s announcements is Moto X+1, which will be Moto X+1’s successor.

But, I’ve got a good news for everyone who is interested in knowing more about the phone, even before getting unveiled on September, we have in store for you the leaked front panel pictures and discussion of the Moto X+1

All about Moto X+1

After the successful release of Moto X, Motorola announced its successor Moto X+1. It was aforementioned to come with a box full of amazing features. A 5.2-inch full HD touchscreen, with a 5 finger touch support, two QUALCOMM Snapdragon 800 processors, a powerful graphic processor sporting a Qualcomm Adreno 330. A RAM of 2 GB, with an internal memory of 24 GB (giga bytes) it has a lot other features that might take it to earn a notable position in the market. Not only it also houses a 2 cm front camera and a 12-mega pixel rear camera both having the capability to click full HD pictures and videos.

Here’s Some Insight On The Leaked Information

It was said that Moto X+1 would house a 5.2 inch screen which would be obviously bigger than its predecessor Moto X, and that doubt was undoubtedly very much cleared after the leaked information got out.

There was a great confusion in knowing the processor being in the new Moto X+1, as it was said in the benchmarks that it would either a Snapdragon 801 or 805. But thanks to leak, if not the processor, a good outlook of the basic features of the phone’s panel could be well evident.

The front panel of the Moto X+1 houses a 1080p Full HD screen of 5.2 inches is an improvement on its predecessor which had a 720p screen of 4.7 inches. The rounded pebble shape of Moto X is still being retained in Motorola’s new phone. It is rounded but the design of the speakers similar to that it’s budget phone Moto E which also sported a front facing speaker.

Despite the blunt look of Motorola phones, the phone market could not get affected much because of the mouth-watering specifications of Moto X, and so shall it be for Moto X+1.

Some Expectations We Have From the Predecessor

We all believe this phone will also lead up to the expectations and level of its previous phones. Moto Maker, which was originally started a long time ago with a motive to carve out triumph in individualising the handsets in pre-purchase process. This concept is sure to be followed in Moto X+1, and will continue to have its effect in countries worldwide such as UK and Germany where its flagships are finally met with.

Thus, with Moto X+1’s front panel leak, it spurred out excitement even more , and made everyone all the more impatient as we now have to wait for the phone to get released, for the normal crowd to own this priced possession.

Motorola Put On Do It Yourself Smartphone

Ara Project

Ara Project
At Smartphones touting solutions All- in-One, Motorola wants to make a different solution, which would leave the choice to the users to adjust their mobile at their convenience. Looks like a gamble? Isn’t it? Motorola has announced that one of its development teams, the "Ara Project” team was currently developing open hardware platform, designed to allow the creation of flexible Smartphones.

It is nothing but do it yourself Smartphone. From Motorola, you can select everything that you wanted to “do for the hardware that the Android platform has done for software." It's ambitious, but also risky: create a third ecosystem of hardware is not easy, although this decision may eventually allow, entering the Smartphone market versatile and customized to the extreme.

The user could have access to a Smartphone designed for its use, with features that deliberately selected at a price commensurate with his budget. Of course, the idea is not new, but it is currently found no real response from the general public. Maybe the strike force of Motorola, passed under the umbrella of Google, could allow it to perpetuate the idea? On our side, would you be willing to yield to the call of such a motive, shaped according to our needs and want?

On the tech conference D11, Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside was sitting on the podium. In an interview with journalists, he confirmed rumors that they are working on a Smartphone called Moto X. It will be released in October along with other mobile phones by the manufacturer. The CEO flirted with having the phone in your pocket, but not to be able to get it out. He also did not provide any details on the technical equipment, so here the speculation can go on. After all, Woodside announced that the Moto X is assembled in a factory in Texas. The items would not completely come from the U.S. The processor, for example, comes from Taiwan and the OLED screens from Korea.
