Sony Releases Sony RX1 With Black and White Sensor

 Sony RX1
Already in January 2014 there was a huge rumor that Sony has acquired a novel technology with a small image sensor in 35 mm format to take crystal clear images in black and white photography.

Again new rumors surfaced that Sony is trying to push new camera system equipped with such kind of sensor in to the market.

According to the rumors surfaced the camera will be in your hands in the end of 2014 else in the early months of 2015. The sensor could have more that 24 pixels resolutions hence it can achieve more significantly sharper images hence it will be more sharper then the color images we guess.

Apart from the details the website didn’t furnish any details. The omission of the color filter actually helps the sensor to work with gray scale sensor so that the light fall on it will not me hindered by any filters and hence the overall sharpness will increase.

And this could increase the overall result with higher light sensitivity and better sharpness. The idea and its realization is not new and Leica has the M Monochrome since mid-2012 a system camera with such a sensor in the program.

The Leica M Monochrome costs 6,800 Euros without a lens and a resolution of 18 megapixels. Before the sensor is located an infrared filter for filtering the non-visible spectrum above 700 nm is used, but it is a no low-pass filter and some features like an auto focus missing there in Leica.

There are so many other models and brands are available for example Red Epic-M Monochrome is loaded with 14 mega pixels resolution which costs around 25,000$

Recharge Your Smartphone in 30 Seconds with Quantum Dots!

StoreDot
An Israeli startup unveils a new generation of battery -based organic nanoparticles with quantum properties. Video demo of a new generation of battery manufactured by the company StoreDot is the buzz on the web. It shows that a Smartphone can be recharged in 30 seconds of time duration. If you consider today’s recharging time of several hours to reach a full charge, this is a boon to a Smartphone user.

However, you cannot expect to fit your phone tomorrow with this new technology, which will not be sold within 3 years. At this point, the video depicts a prototype, too bulky to attach to the inside of the Smartphone. It remains that this new technology could be promising. This is at least what seems to think Samsung, which is currently in talks with the start -up.

Made from compounds of semi conductors, these "quantum dots" manage to confine electrons and holes (electrons location having been previously dislodged) in a confined space in three dimensions, of the order of several tens of nanometers. This assembly is sometimes having their name “artificial atoms “. Their optical and electronic properties are already used in many applications like transistor, LED, medical imaging, solar energy production and many more.

Usually, the quantum dots are synthesized from inorganic materials often based on the elements like arsenic, gallium and selenium. Now StoreDot offers for the first time to use peptides - these organic molecules formed as amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. According to Gil Rosenman, director of research belongs to StoreDot; these peptides spontaneously assemble to form quantum dots under certain conditions.

And those peptides can behave as semiconductors. The advantage of peptide chains is that they are easy and inexpensive to synthesize. Moreover, these quantum dots are made "from amino acid naturally produced by plants and animals, they should therefore not be too harmful to the environment. These are unlike to that of most inorganic quantum dots, especially those made from heavy metals.

This is a remarkable discovery, they add, as well as large organic molecules conduct electricity is well known but nobody had considered that biological peptides can behave as semiconductors. According StoreDot, new batteries boosted biological Nanoparticles could take five days to drain instead of one day for a conventional batteries.

And 7 minutes of charge is sufficient to use your Smartphone for 24 hours. Besides, according to Gil Rosenman, the life of the battery would be significantly extended. This is due to their crystalline form, quantum dots could remain for thousands of charge cycles it seems.

How to Speed Up Your Samsung Android Mobile

Samsung
It’s a big issue when you were using your mobile for more than a year; yes of course, if you were using your android mobile for more than a period of time, it starts to slow down and lag when you were performing an important work or a task in your android device. When you hit the home screen button, your android device will hangs for a while and gives you lots of trouble. In this post, Mono-live.com has brought you an awesome information regarding how to speed up your Samsung android mobile within few minutes and also you can use this tips in any android devices that you have. There are few tips that make your device to work like newer mobile, and here they goes;

1. Clear Your Cache: This will be the first and foremost step that allows you to reduce the size of the cache memory that has been stored in the android device. Cache is a temporary memory that allows you to store the temporary files in your android devices. Mostly each and every application that is found in the device will use some cache memory for their performance. Clearing that cache memory will speed up the device and also gives more space for the other program to work more efficiently. If you want to clear the cache memory, go to settings then application and there you can clear the cache memory for each and every application that is running in your mobile devices.

2. Remove Widgets from your Home screen: The Widgets and the shortcuts that are present in the screen of the android devices will consume the memory space and also it will consume some part of processors memory. In the meantime, it will increase the memory capacity of the device. So make sure that, the number of widgets and the shortcuts on the homescreen is very less in number. You can simply remove them by long pressing them and move it to the deletion area.

3. Disable the unused applications in your android devices: By Disabling the unwanted or unused applications in the android devices will reduce the memory space in your mobile and also allows the processor to work more efficiently. If you have rooted your mobile, then you can easily remove the system applications that are coming along with the android devices. You can easily remove all unwanted and unnecessary applications by simply rooting your mobile. Otherwise you can uninstall the applications that you have installed manually.

4. Install a Launcher: Launchers are the applications that control the activity of your phone say Desktop Screen, Lock Screen and so on. You can install an application that is very fast and more productivity. I would prefer Lighting Launcher; it is more effective in nature.

By performing these actions, you can easily improve the speed of your mobile within few minutes and you can feel it as like a newer mobile.

Microsoft Brings Its Windows Tiles on The Car Dashboard

Windows Tiles on The Car Dashboard
The Microsoft wants to more present in the infotainment system on the dashboard, one of the team members of the company said in the Build 2014 Developer Conference. Tiles of Windows phones could soon show on the big screen of the car if Microsoft manages to enforce their “Windows in the Car" concept. The Smartphone content will be mirrored and adapted so that the driver can control music, navigation and many vehicle functions.

Apple had presented with Carplay already in March 2014 with such a system. Microsoft does not want that car concept since Microsoft is already there since 2006 Fiat, Ford and Nissan have been using the new Windows Embedded Automotive and other manufacturers such as BMW use the former as Windows Automotive or Windows Auto -known system of the CE product family. Apple had already demonstrated with Carplay at the Geneva Motor Show, as the integration of Smartphones is possible in the car dashboard, without losing the look and feel of iOS.

They the Microsoft, now wants to emulate and represent information of Smartphones with Windows Phone on the car display. For this, the optics must be adjusted so that the driver is not distracted. Want to play besides the typical entertainment features like music and phone calls accepted, read text messages and the navigation function can be used. Also, all apps can be displayed on the screen, albeit in an adapted form. App developers should be given the opportunity to change depending on the condition of the vehicle complexity.

Driving the car, for example, the interface can be simplified. The user can access the home screen to set the tiles of his apps that he often needs to find them again fast. Also, notifications can be faded in the display to alert the driver, for example, in front of schools on his way or to show the maximum allowed speed. According to media reports, Microsoft Mirror link uses for communication between the Smartphone and the car. The industry standard Mirror Link was developed by the Car Connectivity Consortium, will allow users to connect mobile devices to the vehicle electronics it.

Scrolling and swiping on the big screen are thus transferred to the Smartphone. The control of music playback on the big screen may be on the steering wheel. Toyota already demonstrated in the end of 2011 how this works in the car.

Apple does not support Mirror Link, but numerous car manufacturers such as VW, Citroen, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and provider of car radios like Alpine, Panasonic and Sony. On Smartphones support is still quite manageable. This Mirror Link can be offered to Nokia's Symbian Belle devices and the Sony Xperia Z too.

Alcatel will probably be the first manufacturer a full range of Smartphones and tablets solar power in the second quarter of 2015 in the market. Behind this innovation, a French company Sunpartner, and photovoltaic technology Wysips which reserves more surprises. We already talked last year about Wysips Chrystal technology. In this technology transparent photovoltaic film and ultrathin moved to a display sub- layer and can charge a Smartphone in natural light. The French company SunPartner continues to develop Wysips and has now ready to move to the production stage through a partnership with Alcatel (TCT Mobile).

The latter has just unveiled the first prototype Smartphone using solar Wysips at MWC. This test is performed with the Alcatel One Touch Phone, an entry level model from the manufacturer. Alcatel One Touch could be the first to produce and market this type of device. Robcis Francis, vice president of SunPartner’s marketing and sales shed more light on it. But Aix Company planning to go to the industrial stage is their very short-term goal. The development of a new product does not happen overnight, it takes many months if not over a year between the idea and the placing on the market.

Alcatel One Touch, we believe reasonably come to market the first products in the second quarter of 2015. They are able to equip Smartphones and tablets with screens from 4 to 13 inches. Alcatel One Touch will confirm it and it will be equipped with the technology next year Wysips full range of products. The issue price for the end user is the sinew of war. They are now have to face an average additional cost of 20-30 % on the price of a standard screen and these costs to the base between 15 and 20 dollars (average end screens ), said Francis Robcis.

Likely the manufacturer may increase of a few Euros to integrate Wysips but not more, per device it seems. So soon you will have a photo voltaic ultra- fine screen, transparent 90%, which is placed behind the screen of your Smartphone. This Alcatel could therefore charge during the use since the screen has a light. Currently, Wysips Crystal technology achieves an efficiency of 2.5 mW / cm 2 for a 90% transparency. On a 4-inch screen with a 1800 mAh battery, it should be 100 hours to fully charge an empty battery.

Understandably, a charger is therefore always necessary even if five hours of exposure to allow a cell to recharge for a sufficient use several hours. Wysips produces as much electricity the appliance consumes. They are guaranteeing with a reserve battery to permanently secure many applications (music, emergency call, SMS, remote payment, health application, boarding pass, etc.) un interrupted.

This Smartphone can also integrate the new Wysips, making it compatible LiFi (Light fidelity). This solution allows simultaneously charging the battery but also to receive information transmitted by visible light waves (Visible Light Communication - VLC) without tapping into the electric battery from the device.

How to Setup ADB and Fastboot on Mac, Linux and Chrome OS

Mac
ADB and Fastboot useful Tools for Kernel and Image
Android users should be aware of the importance of the powerful tools of ADB and Fastboot to download and install the full Android SDK, add ADB and fastboot to local $PATH. These users whether new or veteran at some point of time would have to use tools like Android Debug Bridge and Fastboot and ADB setup on the computer is most essential for every Android user without which one would be unable to flash a kernel or system image. The ADB is not only a useful tool for flashing kernels and image but also utilized for different types of development as well as for testing. The functions of unlocking boot loader, rooting and flashing system imaged for users of Nexus, Motorola and HTC devices may be impossible without the use of ADB and Fastboot commands.

Exciting Tool by XDA Forum Member

Fastboot and ADB are invaluable for most of the Android users the absence of which would make it difficult or rather impossible for flashing kernel or system image. The process is simple and the easiest method to install the drivers wherein a command is needed to run and install the drivers. Experienced users can download the Android SDK by clicking a few times and adding ADB and Fastboot to $PATH and explore with latest ROMs and kernels. Mac, Linux and Chrome OS users would find an exciting tool by XDA Forum Member, corbin052198, useful where the Nexus Tools script detect the OS automatically and then downloads and configures everything needed to use ADB on the machine. The absence of the udev list, that makes the device `visible’, for debugging, can easily be fixed by this thread.

Running Command to Setup ADB and Fastboot

Running the command can setup the ADB and fastboot drivers on the machine and for running it, a working network connection on the computer is essential. Presently Nexus Tools commands work perfectly on Mac OS and Linux systems while at the moment, the support for Chrome OS is listed to be experimental. Nexus Tools though not a program as the name suggest, is a string of command line given below wherein the user can use it to issue command in a terminal window on Mac OS X, Chrome OS and Linux computer.

bash <(curl https://raw.github.com/corbindavenport/nexus-tools/master/install.sh )
As the script needs to runs as root, it asks for sudo to enable it to copy all the necessary downloaded files to usr or bin making them available system wide. To uninstall ADB, the following command provided can be used.

bash <(curl https://raw.github.com/corbindavenport/nexus-tools/master/uninstall.sh)
Setting ADB and Fastboot has become very simple now for Linux, Mac or Chrome OS and users should note that before using ADB or Fastboot on Android devices, one must enable USB debugging on the device first to get it to work. Once the ADB and Fastboot is installed users could check for guidance on modding or hacking the phone and the best option to start is at dotTech on how to root guides. Another option for Android hacking and slashing could be XDA Developers where the user will get sufficient guidance and useful tips. Samsung Develops A Device To Turn Hands Into Virtual Keyboard

Samsung Virtual Keyboard

Samsung Virtual Keyboard 2
Just Imagine you meet someone in the street with his thumbs typing frantically on his knuckles. Thus Samsung imagined the future, and designed their virtual keyboard, through augmented reality glasses, would be projected on the user's fingers. And our fingers are sufficient for themselves. Rather than tapping on a keyboard, the Samsung engineers have created a technology virtual keyboard where the keys are placed on the fingers towards the palm of the hand, with wearable device connected.

Thumbs are free and have the sole purpose of tapping fingers. The display characters would, in turn, the three phalanges of the remaining 8 fingers. According to the pictures of the patent, it would also be possible to have only one hand on which is reflected letters, and the organization could depend on the comfort of the user, which would have the choice of putting his hands to the horizontally or vertically of his convenience. Today, we know that Samsung is planning a release of these connected in the course of the year, in the wake of Google Glass glasses.

And that's what patent filed with the World Intellectual protection (WIPO), between the glasses connected to this revolutionary system that could delight geeks. And this is even more impressive as the holographic keyboard device. Visible inside the phalanges with the glasses, the letters are there and so it is possible to write a message. This may be an alternative to speech recognition. Two things are singled out in the patent reported by futura - sciences. Malfunction of voice recognition in noisy environments and the lack of discretion and confidentiality and speak aloud. Such a system is still very futuristic; hard to imagine tomorrow it will be only between our fingers.

To guess which letter is typed, the system will have to analyze the movements with precision. Not an easy task! And that success is complete, it will equip the glasses with sophisticated technology and it may be more expensive. Clearly, it is impossible today to say that this virtual keyboard will come to market one day, or even a prototype is created in the future, unlike the holographic keyboards, whose demonstrations have impressed much of the Web.
