Location-based advertising soon on Twitter

According to AdAge, Twitter prepares the introduction of ads based on the geographic location of users by the end of this year. Location-based advertising is a holy grail for advertisers and who are offering online services. And Twitter is about to catch up with Facebook in this area. According AdAdge, the micro blogging site is preparing for the arrival of advertisements based on the geographical position for the fourth quarter. The system push targeted ads to users around specific latitudes and longitudes. It will allow advertisers to offer discounts on their products or to report any sign of a person's presence nearby. Twitter already offers sponsored tweets based on certain metropolitan areas. A more targeted system would allow it to catch up on Facebook offering advertisements based on postal codes of its members since 2011.

First human 'infected with computer virus'

A British scientist has become the first person in the world infected by a computer virus! He bribed a computer chip lodged in his hand for several years with a virus of its making. The approach may seem strange, but its purpose is to warn us of the risks we could face in the future. Scientists around the world are working on nanotechnology to achieve miniature robots capable of handling each parameter of the body: for example, white blood cells to help eradicate diseases, regulate the level of sugar in the blood. In short, the miniaturization of robotics allow medical prowess and should be an important new step for mankind by significantly prolonging our life expectancy. With this in mind, Mark Gasson, a researcher at University School of Systems Engineering Reading in England, voluntarily infected RFID chip he had in his hand. This chip allows access to university buildings and uses the phone. But the infecting, it now has the ability to spread the virus in the systems which access and cut their communications infrastructure. This approach is not malicious: Mark Gasson wants to show that it is very dangerous not to worry about the safety of these future devices that will arrive sooner or later in our body.

The potential of these future devices could well be hijacked by malicious individuals and of course we would be unable to repair our chips by ourselves, which could have extremely serious consequences. This is reminiscent of robots of this type are also experienced for diabetics, as many pacemakers that are configured computer. Some time ago, an American hacker was able to demonstrate that he was able to remotely control some pacemakers and could thus kill the holders of such devices. The company was therefore updated its pacemakers to avoid the situation turns sour. This news makes us shudder when we know how easy it was to infiltrate scientific in these infrastructures. In the near future, to shake hands with a stranger could endanger the hardware that concerns us like phone, laptop, shows and other intelligent devices. Major advances are not safe. But what do you think? Is the development of the internal nanotechnology - which have a real purpose, it is important to remember - you would be sufficiently profitable compared to the risk you are exposed to the worst dangers?

LG to introduce unbreakable, flexible OLED

LG has confirmed it would be the first manufacturer to produce OLED flexible and unbreakable screens for mobile devices. Mass production will begin in the fourth quarter and the first Smartphone model is expected later this year. LG took a big lead over the competition in regards unbreakable and flexible touch screens. Last month after presenting a prototype 5 inches at the Society for Information Display Area, the Korean company confirmed that it will begin mass production from the fourth quarter. This is what the Korea Times reported, citing a statement from LG stating that the initial rate of production will be 12,000 sheets per month flexible OLED. The manufacturer has also been the first to launch a Smartphone equipped with such a screen; it will also provide the screens for other manufacturers. Enough to take the lead over Samsung: who also works on this same technology but encountered with technical difficulties at the beginning of production of its flexible screen which is the reason for the delay in its production. The first Samsung models with flexible screens are not expected before the second half of 2014.

Mozilla postponed blocking third party cookies in Firefox

Firefox 22 (currently in beta), blocking third-party cookies by default was finally withdrawn by Mozilla few weeks later. The foundation is explained yesterday on the walk back. In February, the announcement of block cookies by default in Firefox deposited by sites that have not been visited by the user provoked an outcry from advertising companies. The Interactive Advertising Bureau, an organization that promotes interactive advertising, spoke of "nuclear attack" against the industry pub. Ultimately, the default blocking disappeared last month in the first beta version of Firefox 22. Sid Stamm, Privacy Officer, had indicated that measure its impact "was not as simple as they had imagined already.”

Brendan Eich, chief technology officer of the foundation, came back yesterday with more detail the reasons for the postponement. Mozilla has faced two problems with this function. On the one hand, false positives, for example, if the user visits the site foo.com, Firefox blocks cookies foocdn.com, and then it is the same company behind the two sites. On the other hand, false negatives, visit once a site does not mean that we agree to follow all over the Internet you are. You can click on inadvertently pub. Mozilla is working to address these issues and it is associated with the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford. Cookie Clearinghouse, a service that centralizes a list of obstacles and other permissions will be tested in Firefox. The default block third-party cookies - which are already operating in Safari on Mac and iOS - so may still take time to be integrated into the final version of the Mozilla browser. Meanwhile, the function can be tested with the version of Aurora.

Facebook gets a new feature; photo comments. Yes users can use Photos instead of text in their comments. Users can now insert images when they post a comment. Sometimes a picture is worth more than a thousand words says hence Facebook added a new feature Photo comments. Facebook employee Bob Baldwin has made the new function public. Under his communication the users are allowed to insert photo comments as test Even though the photo comments do not work for all Facebook users right now and it will be done so gradually but the feature should be available everywhere. To attach a comment or a photo image, click on the User camera icon that appears on the right side of the comment box. From there you can drive and upload the desired image. Ashwin Bharambe, also a Facebook employee says in the thread that Chrome users can also insert images by copy and paste in the comment. Of course the text can be added as usual.

Feedly getting ready to celebrate the Google Reader retirement!

July 1, Google Reader, the most popular RSS reader used by many apps will stop working. Feedly, with a replacement solution is particularly very active in recent months and has just finalized its cloud and put online a web app. Last week, the iOS app inaugurated Feedly cloud infrastructure that allows the house to totally get rid of Google Reader. This time, Feedly cloud is finalized and available to all users. The company says that its infrastructure already covers more than 25 million RSS feeds and billions of items per day.

A dozen sites and applications support API Feedly or are about to do: - IFTT, which lets you create shares between different services; - Newsify an RSS reader on iOS; - Sprout Social, a marketing tool monitoring; - NextGen Reader and Menere, feed readers for Windows Phone and Windows; - 10 gNewsReader BlackBerry and Symbian / Meego; - And finally, Press and Pure News Widget on Android. And more… Feedly now works in the browser without the need to install an extension. The interface is very neat and should easily convince users of Google Reader. Connecting to Feedly is always with his Google account. No worries, however, to have its cash, Feedly transferred onto its infrastructure the famous Feedly cloud. The service says it will always continue to use Google authentication passed on July 1, and it will add support connections via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and LinkedIn.

Playstation 4 Available From November 21st

The anticipation of the Playstation 4 has increased with the E3 presentation this past week with many gamers immeasurably. But how long do you have to wait for the console yet? If you believe a British newspaper, the Playstation 4 will appear on 21 November 2013. That at least is evident from an advertisement. Whether it is a confirmed date or just a shot in the dark, however, remains unclear for the time being. It would fit: On 29 November starting at least in the U.S., Black Friday, the traditional Christmas shopping and therefore the most profitable time of the year. What is an E3-opener. First, Microsoft opened the show with an impressive game show. Then Sony surprised the gaming world - and arguably the competition - with the Playstation 4 announcements. The console comes in 2013 for 399 Euros in the trade and is therefore 100 Euros cheaper than the Xbox one. Sony leaves in everything the same stuff used commercially. Players can lend or sell without having to accept any additional fees continue their games. And the Playstation 4 does not require online connection. No question, Sony has listened to the players in recent months. Furthermore, Sony has mentioned prices of some peripherals. Thus, you pay for a DualShock controller 4 59 Euros, the Playstation camera's for 49 Euros.

Official documents reveal technical details of New Nexus 7

Small and cheap tablets are selling like hot cakes and they are of more demand this is the reason enough for Google, the new Nexus 7 According to rumors, the successor is coming in July with a faster Processor, full HD display and a new Android system. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration for communications equipment (FCC) has published on its pages various documents also reveal technical details of the highly anticipated Nexus 7's successor. Accordingly, the device made by Asus carries the model designation K009 and houses similar hardware from the chip maker Qualcomm, as it is also found in the Nexus 4th Specific regard to the LTE-capable wireless chip "WTR 1605L" and the four-core processor from the "Snapdragon S4 Pro" series (APQ 8064). In contradiction to this, however, is a message of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, according to the newer Snapdragon processor 600 is installed in the second Nexus, as it is also found in the HTC One or partially in Samsung Galaxy S4. It remains unclear whether here the two are very similar model numbers have been confused (APQ-8064 and APQ-8064T) or the manufacturer for different regions is planning several model variations. A brief comparison of the two chips is that the performance differences in practice are likely to be barely noticeable. DigiTimes also now confirmed the information that AppleInsider has received several weeks ago to the second generation of the Nexus seventh Thus, more and more compacted that Asus and Google bring out the Nexus 7's successor in July 2013. According to DigiTimes, the tablet successor has heard the term "7s" and should be around 30 Euros or more expensive. However, the price adjustment due to higher quality components not successes, but to the direct price competition with entry-level tablets to avoid, the source continued. Thus, Google is targeting the device from the middle class. The high end of the manufacturer wants to leave Apple with the iPad mini. Asus reportedly offered to the Nexus a sharper display. Instead of 1280x800 pixels in the first generation is the successor to buyers can look forward to a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. Also mounted on the rear side; a five megapixel camera to be on the first board. In order to continue to win the favor of the purchaser shall be stowed in a thinner frame, the technology of the successor. So that the appliance cannot be quickly out of breath, a 4000 milliamp-hour (mAh) strong battery is installed, you can also charge wirelessly. Usually Google presents new Nexus devices along with a new version of Android. Since Google has not been as expected for in-house developer conference, a new version of the mobile operating system shown, the Group remains its users on software side a little guilty. Therefore quite possible that the Internet giant along with the new Nexus 7 and Android 4.3 or even 5.0 version shows. As DigiTimes reports, the change is from Nvidia on Qualcomm processors not on price, because the two chips cost about the same. The reason should be that Nvidia can timely provide the latest-generation Tegra processor (Tegra 4) not to launch the Nexus seventh According to others, but the price will be crucial for the processor change.

Two factor authentications happen on Windows Azure

With Security service, Active Authentication must allow secured access to the cloud platform for its employees and partners. The director of Windows Azure, Sarah Fender, announced in a blog post from Microsoft a new service, Active Authentication, would bring strong authentication, multi-factor, the Microsoft cloud platform. This was expected for the Microsoft account, but not necessarily on the services dedicated to business. Two-factor authentication can be enabled now, for employees of a company, its partners or clients. Management is done on Windows Azure Active Directory, which manages the identities for several cloud services from Microsoft. The double-authentication therefore will work for Office 365, Windows Azure, Intune, Dynamics CRM, and other embedded applications with Windows Azure AD. The system set up is relatively straightforward; password on the website or mobile app and text for the second authentication by message. This obviously increases safety by reducing the potential for illegitimate access. The price of this service is not final, but we should expect $ 2 per user per month for one double authentication, or $ 2 every 10 authentications performed. A test period is implemented, those prices are halved.

Digg Going for its own RSS feed on 26th

Since the announcement of the closure of Google Reader, a popular reading service and synchronize RSS feeds, candidates to succeed him have multiplied. Among them, Digg has announced that early offer an alternative, but we had not yet seen the color, while the Google service will close in less than two weeks. In a new article, the site details the first beta version of its service which will also be launched on June 26. Limited, this first beta will target heavy users of RSS and it aims to offer a simple alternative, but functional Google Reader. Specifically, the Digg service will retrieve data from the Google and it will be available on the web and on the iPhone and iPad. The interface should be simple and clear and highlight the content; a mobile version will be available for those who do not have an iPhone. We should also find all the basic functions of a dedicated reading and flow synchronization services by including in a flow sharing section and organization records. After this beta to be released in extremis - hope that the launch will take place without quack ... - Digg has already planned improvements for its service. An Android application is provided, additional services will be integrated as Evernote or IFTTT and most advanced sorting and filtering tools are available. Still research and notifications are planned. Digg RSS is a paid, or rather freemium service. The basic functions will remain free, but can be a subscription that will unlock other features. Initially, however, the publisher intends to propose a viable alternative to Google Reader service. It will be hard to do while alternatives are already in place, especially since we do not know the position of the service API. Without it, Digg will never be integrated with third party software, like Reeder.

Facebook may unveil its own RSS reader

The number one social network Face book will hold a press conference on Thursday to introduce a new service. It could be an RSS reader, traces of which were found in the code of Facebook pages. On July 1, the RSS reader Google Reader will be decommissioned to the chagrin of users, but for the satisfaction of the competition was quickly positioned to take over. But Digg, Feedly, Flipboard, Taptu Leed and others may well see a very serious rival is none other than Facebook. Last week, a young developer has found references to an RSS feed in the code of social network which suggests an alternative to Google Reader is in preparation. Moreover, Facebook has announced it will hold a press conference on June 20 to unveil a "big idea". To imagine that there is the famous RSS reader, there is a step that the specialized press immediately crossed. Cleverly integrated into the interface, such a tool would sense because it would allow Facebook to further centralize some content consumption of its members. Appointment is given on Thursday to verify all.

Nokia stops production of Symbian devices from this summer

According to the Financial Times, Nokia deliver the latest Symbian devices in July. The Finnish firm has turned to Windows Phone and its family of entry-level mobile like Asha. Soon Nokia stop making instruments based on Symbian OS devices. This is the information got through the Financial Times and saying that the latest models will be shiped this summer. In fact, Nokia has not released new models from the 808 PureView and its 41 megapixel camera sensor marketed mid-2012. The priority is to the Windows Phone with which Nokia controls more than 80% market share thanks to the Lumia 920 and 710. The manufacturer has passed 5.6 million devices in its first quarter 2013 alone. Besides Windows Phone, Nokia remains on the feature phones segment with Asha range, the last model Asha 501 is expected this summer in the market for 109 Euros without subscription. Google launches balloons internet!

The balloons that Google launched this week from an icy place of the South Island of New Zealand looked wrinkled and flabby at first, but it was getting stiff as totaled by the blue winter sky over Lake Tekapo, and spent the first big test of a higher goal: to bring Internet access to the entire planet. It was the culmination of 18 months work at Google called Project Loon. Developed in the same secret laboratory that produced the automatic driving car and goggles and this helium-filled aerostats Internet content transmitted to earth in its path. Still in the experimental stage, balloons were the first of thousands that Google expects to launch at an altitude of 20 kilometers in order to close the digital divide between 4,800 million people without internet connection and its 2,200 million online counterparts. If successful, the technology could allow some countries to avoid the expense of installing fiber optic cabling, and increase the use of internet in places like Africa and Southeast Asia. "It's something really ambitious.

A really huge target to chase, "said project leader Mike Cassidy.”The power of the Internet is perhaps one of the technologies of our era with greater power to transform." The first person who had access to the internet with a globe of Google this week was Charles Nimmo, a farmer and businessman from the town of Leeston. He was one of 50 people who signed up as testers of a project that was so secret that no one told them what was happening. The technicians went home and installed red receptors basketballs size. Nimmo had internet access about 15 minutes before the balloon transmitter remained out of reach. The first thing on the net was to review the weather forecast, because I wanted to know if it was good time to shear his sheep. Nimmo is one of many rural dwellers, even in developed countries, lack access to broadband. She canceled her phone dial-up four years ago to hire satellite service, but sometimes bills exceeded $ 1,000 per month. "It was weird," said Nimmo on the internet experience with balloons. "But it's exciting to be part of something new." Project-Loon-Google balloons fly where the wind takes them out of the reach of the human eye. Obtain energy with a solar panel to charge four hours a day to operate.

On land, internet link stations located 100 kilometers transmit the signal to the balloons. The signals are relayed balloon to balloon. Each balloon covers a service area of about 1,250 square kilometers, twice the size of New York City. And the terrain is not challenging for the signal. Google did not mention costs at this moment, although they say that pain has taken to make balloons and receivers as cheap as possible. The signals travel by unregulated radio spectrum, which means that Google does not have to go through the onerous regulatory process required internet providers that use wireless communication networks or satellite. In New Zealand, the company relied on the Civil Aviation Authority for testing. Google chose the country in part because of their geographic isolation. Cassidy said that the next phase of testing expect to have up to 300 balloons circling the 40th parallel south of New Zealand, in Australia, Chile, Uruguay Paraguay and Argentina.

Why Cloud Storage is so Useful

Lots of offices are turning to cloud storage as a way to store and access all of their documents. Cloud storage is a handy way to be able to get to all of your work in one place without having to sign in and out of different computers or go into work to email yourself an important document on your day off. For many offices, there is no turning back from cloud storage, and there are lots of reasons for this.
Firstly, it reflects the growing need for many workers to be able to access their work anywhere, anytime. As the traditional office set up becomes less and less popular and more staff opt to work from home or out of the office, or choose their own flexible hours, it’s important to have a way to access everything you need easily. Cloud storage makes it very easy to find whatever you’ve been working on in a flash, whether you’re in the office, on the train, at home or anywhere else in the world.
Another reason cloud storage is useful is that your company only needs to pay for the storage it uses. It means you don’t have to spend a fortune on a vast amount of storage you don’t need, making it especially cost-effective for smaller businesses who still want to operate a more flexible way of working.
One major benefit for lots of offices is that the burden of backing up data and performing updates on storage software is taken out of their hands and handed over to the company hosting their cloud storage. This means that you can always be reassured that your data is being backed up regularly, minimising panics when something goes awry, and no long waits in the office for everything to update, so you can get on with what you need to do and let someone else deal with the technical issues.
Cloud storage has a major advantage over the standard method of saving work onto an individual computer or internal computer network because it means that when you wake up in a cold sweat at 3am about a glaring error you’ve made in a crucial document, you can sort it out on your phone there and then, or if you’re on a business trip and find yourself with a corrupted copy of your vitally important presentation, you can log in to the cloud storage space to pick up a working copy even if you’re hundreds of miles away.
Steven Harvey is a business productivity consultant who regularly extols the virtues in taking advantage of cloud storage facilities

Nokia Unveils a New Windows Phone on July 11

Nokia has sent out invitations to a press conference that promises "zoom reinvented." It could be a Smartphone with the 41 megapixel PureView technology. After a surprise with the 808 PureView equipped with a 41 megapixel camera sensor, Nokia stated that this technology would be adapted to the range of its Lumia Windows Phone. Though the most recent models, such as Lumia 920, 925 and 928 are labeled PureView, there is still no 41 megapixel horizon. The wait could end on July 11 at the press conference in New York. The invitation to the press yesterday by Nokia mentions a "reinvented zoom" that portends a new model for the gifted picture. Perhaps this may be the Nokia "EOS" including images appeared last week. They reveal Lumia reflecting the design of the 920 and whose back bears a prominent picture module where we see two LED and Xenon flash. Anyway Nokia, which has always been the best picture quality of Smartphones one of its distinctive arguments must react while Samsung will hunt on his land with the Galaxy S4 Zoom, be released in July.

Support For CardDAV And CalDAV Available For Windows Phone 8!

Late last year, Google had caused a nasty surprise by announcing the end of the EAS support (Exchange Active Sync) for its accounts. Microsoft, who said he then surprised the decision, was finally indicated that support CalDAV and CardDAV would be added in Windows Phone 8. Right now, a video shows how these settings can be done. Last December, Google announced that the EAS carrier would no longer the party for its own accounts. These could indeed use this mode in Windows Phone, iOS and other mobile platforms to configure a single gesture emails, contacts and calendars, all in push. Instead, Google indicated that users could use two protocols; CardDAV for contacts, CalDAV for calendars. For Microsoft, this was a problem, because Windows Phone 8 could not stand either of these protocols. The firm was therefore negotiated an extension and Google had agreed to extend by six months the deadline, thus passed July 31. And since we passed in mid-June, it was time to get information about it. This is the case now since the release GDR2 General Distribution Release of the mobile system should be available for download soon, although no exact date has yet been given. In this video, the site All about Windows Phone shows this version of the system available on the Lumia 925. In the settings Google Account, you can see two new cases devoted respectively to support CardDAV and CalDAV. In both cases, the server seems to be "www.google.com", which should allow easy configuration. However, we lose the push and the information can be verified, at best, every 15 minutes. Now, two remarks are necessary. First, it is unclear if the configuration of Google account on Windows Phone 8 GDR2 automatically configures CardDAV and CalDAV fields. Logic would dictate that this is the case, in the interests of efficiency, although it is not certain that the user wants to synchronize contacts and calendar in addition to his post. All About Windows Phone indicates that this transition seems to be automatic when you install the version of GDR2 detects an account configured with EAS. Second, it is already confirmed in the video that support both protocols is only available for Google. This is clearly a bad thing, as some users may have sources of contacts and / or calendars other than Microsoft and Google.
