LG Fireweb: First Firefox OS Smartphone launched at CES

Now the phone LG Fireweb with Firefox OS was displayed at the CES in Las Vegas and it is a mid-range Smartphone with an interesting new operating system. The LG Fireweb had been released previously in Brazil. This is the first LG Smartphone with Firefox OS.

So far, the phone is available only in Brazil hence there is little known about the device. Since this is not a flagship brand in the Smartphone category, LG is also has not given much importance the Fireweb. The more exciting it is now to get some information about the mysterious device with the unusual operating system.

The inside of the LG Fireweb is a one- gigahertz processor powers the Smartphone. It has two gigabytes of internal memory which can be upgraded with additional 32 GB via microSD card. The four- inch display has a moderate resolution of 480x320 pixels.

The camera on the back takes cell phone photos and videos with five megapixels. As like Nexus 4 the Fireweb back also made of plastic.What is interesting about the LG Fireweb especially is its operating system: The Firefox OS comes from the Mozilla developers and is a completely open system that is based on HTML5 technology.

The OS will access its own App Store: The Firefox Marketplace resembles Apple's App Store or Google Play. In Europe some phones are already equipped with Mozilla's OS. The LG Fireweb is of 11.4 x 6.7 x 0.9 inches and weighs 123 grams. It costs around 152 Euros.
